Kaohsiung: Part 2

The next day, I went to the Lotus Pond莲池 - it has been a popular place to visit since the Qing Dynasty and is well known for the 20 or so temples dotting the shoreline and nearby area.

So I took the MRT to the Zuoying左营station (where the high speed rail station is as well) - there's a bus you can take to the lake AND there's a duck bus you can take (but it only operates during the weekend) which will take u on a tour around the area and on the lake as well..

I walked there - about 2 blocks - about 15min walk not very far la.

That's the only lotus I've seen outside one of the temples

One of the temples - dont ask me to name them hor.

I didn't walk round the lake. Halfway - walked back to the NEXT MRT stop and took the MRT to HouYi - to look for the wholesale centre at An-ning Road. Nothing much though. Think i'm just not into the fashion - I'm a shirt/jeans/3/4s or shorts person. Not a layering (more like Taiwanese type)

This is one cup of coffee you must try. 85deg Cafe is EVERYWHERE. And the coffee is MUCH better than Starbucks. and half the price. about 1.80bucks only.

So next night market was Ruifeng night market. 瑞丰夜市 - at 巨蛋station (think the english name is Kaohsiung Arena) - exit according to what's written on the board (sorry forgot which exit) and it's just ahead of you. follow the crowd.

This one is much better than the Liuhe market.

The picture didn't turn out nice so sorry no picture.
SOme night markets have game stalls u can play. if u squint and magnify your screen - you would be able to see on the left picture -an old lady playing shooting game.. :P

There were A LOT of yum food. The western hotplate at the corner is famous and popular but I didn't want to queue up. I saw Mongolian BBQ as well.

But I had this because I've never seen it anywhere else
Sorry abt the pic quality Iphone don't take good pics at night.
It's erm..sausage, a pc of bread and chicken meat all wrapped into one roll and grilled then u choose your sauce - chose the original - so that was some yoghurty creamy sauce. NICE.

That's enough for a person! :)

Walked around - stalls and stalls of clothes and stuff then went back...

Okie! End of Kaohsiung. Pretty ok city Think it's less dense/more spacious city. Good for living?
Maybe.
